You can use Woodpecker Scratch Cover to quickly hide minor scratches, scuffs, and chips on your wood flooring. There’s a good chance that your floor will have some surface scratches at some point, but it’s fairly easy to repair these. If you’re looking for tips on how to repair scratches on your Lynton Stratex flooring then please see the next section. The good news is, there’s a scratch repair kit that is perfect for our waterproof Brecon flooring, and it can be used to repair minor scratches on our wood-effect flooring. Unfortunately, planks that have deeper scratches or more extensive damage will need to be replaced. However, lightly scratched laminate and Brecon floors can be hidden using touch-up pens, crayons, or wax filler sticks, building up the colour until it matches the shade of your flooring. But you can’t refinish or sand laminate or Brecon flooring so ideally, you should try to protect it from damage as much as possible in the first place. Laminate & Brecon flooring are popular flooring choices as they’re durable, easy to care for, and can look like real wood – making them a popular choice for high-traffic areas of the home (read about the differences between laminate and Brecon (Stratex) flooring on our blog). The waffles were completely cooked at about 3 minutes, but the exterior remained soft unless they got a little extra time on the iron. It took about 4 minutes to cook my waffles until they were crisp on the outside and completely cooked inside. It heated evenly and produced waffles that were uniformly brown, though the batter didn’t quite always make it to the outer edges (I chronically underfill my waffle makers, apparently) and the coloration was a touch lighter there. I found my waffles released easily from the iron both when I greased the iron and when I did not. The Dash heats up quickly and the nonstick surface works very well. It does, however, mean that you need to plug it in to preheat about 2 minutes before you’re ready to use it and that you must remember to unplug the machine when you’re done. It does not have a on-off switch or any audible indicator, but that is true of some larger machines and not something I mind much. It has an indicator light on the top that lights up when you plug in the machine, then clicks off when the iron is hot. The waffle iron is so small and lightweight that it almost looks like a toy at first glance, but the waffle iron has a surprisingly heavy duty nonstick iron inside once you open it up. As a waffle fan with a Belgian-style waffle iron that I really like, I wondered how the Dash stacked up to its full size competitors and ordered one so I could give it a try. It comes in a variety of colors and has a price tag right around $10 – making it a perfect impulse purchase, whether you’re shopping online or see it in the store. The pint-size waffle maker is just a bit bigger than the palm of your hand and produce 4-inch waffles that are almost too cute to eat. The Instant Pot might have been one of the popular holiday kitchen gifts last season, but the Dash Mini Waffle Maker has consistently been a best seller this year. Unfortunately, this manuscript didn't provide any data on heart failure parameters such as LVEF or NYHA class. The authors concluded that "the adverse prognosis after first shock appears to be more related to the underlying arrhythmia than to an adverse effect from the shock itself". (10) Significantly higher all-cause mortality was found in patients with appropriate shocks for ventricular arrhythmia as well as in patients with inappropriate shocks caused by atrial fibrillation/flutter, but not those with inappropriate shocks due to other supraventricular tachycardia, noise/artifacts or oversensing. The adverse prognosis after first shock appears to be more related to the underlying arrhythmia than to an adverse effect from the shock itself: A recent subanalysis of the ALTITUDE registry focused on the "survival by rhythm" in more than 7,400 patients.Remarkably, the deleterious effect of intracardiac shocks was seen only in patients with ischemic heart failure, supporting the theory of higher mortality based on the underlying cardiac disease. Appropriate shocks after the median follow-up period and inappropriate shocks occurring at any time revealed no impact on survival. (9) The authors concluded that the negative effect of appropriate shocks on survival is only evident within the first 4 years after ICD implantation. Negative effect of appropriate shocks on survival is only evident within the first 4 years after ICD implantation: A smaller single center analysis of 561 patients with heart failure and primary preventive ICD observed the clinical outcome over a median follow-up period of 4 years. In patients with only inappropriate shocks, this deleterious effect was no longer found. Patients treated with intracardiac shock showed increased mortality: In 2010, a meta-analysis of 4 prospective trials (PainFREE I + II, EMPIRIC and PREPARE) investigating the prevention of ICD shocks by preferential anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP) pooled the data from 2,100+ patients: (8) ventricular tachyarrhythmia treated by ATP had no impact on mortality when compared to patients without ventricular arrhythmia, whereas patients treated with intracardiac shock showed increased all-cause mortality, when compared to those without documented shock. The most common cause of death among patients with any ICD shock was progressive heart failure. Interestingly, patients with definitely appropriate (with or without inappropriate) shocks had a lower median LVEF (20% EF) than patients with exclusively inappropriate shocks or without any shock (25% EF). When focusing on patients surviving the first 24 hours after their first shocks, an increase in all-cause mortality was still observed for appropriate but not for inappropriate shocks. (7) Over the median follow-up period of nearly 4 years, this fact endured for both appropriate and inappropriate shocks. study was the first data to reveal a significantly increased mortality in patients with primary preventive ICD implantation and at least one documented intracardiac shock delivery.
